The former President of the Nation, Cristina Kirchner, expressed her solidarity with her Bolivian counterpart Evo Morales after the attack he suffered while traveling in his car, urging the Bolivian government to ensure the safety and physical integrity of the former president.
"Fernández de Kirchner conveyed a message urging Luis Arce's government to take the necessary measures to safeguard Morales's life, who was shot at with bullets hitting the tires of the vehicle that transported him," she stated.
In her statements, Cristina Kirchner expressed: "All my solidarity with the former President of the Plurinational State of Bolivia, Evo Morales, in light of the criminal attack he suffered today. And a request to the current government to adopt all necessary measures to guarantee his safety and physical integrity."
Evo Morales, who was traveling with his driver, explained that due to the gunfire, they had to change vehicles to continue their journey. Despite being injured, his driver managed to save his life despite suffering visible cuts on his head and an arm injury.
The former president of Bolivia attributed the attack to the current president Luis Arce, while the latter declared through his official social media that any act of violence in politics must be condemned and clarified, avoiding biased speculation.
"Luis Arce ordered an immediate and thorough investigation to clarify the incident following Evo Morales's report about the alleged attack on his life," it concluded.
