Drug Trafficker Linked to Former Beauty Queen in Bolivia

One of the theories that have emerged from leaks suggests that Jade Callaú could have family ties with a well-known drug trafficker from Bolivia, which could justify her participation in the flight. Last week, a plane registered in Bolivia was forced to land on a rural road, triggering revelations about connections of a former beauty queen with drug trafficking.

The investigation is being conducted by federal judge Analía Ramponi, who has kept the summary secret and has taken steps to advance the case. In Bolivia, Jade Callaú has been a figure of public interest, standing out for her activities on social media and appearances on television programs.

According to sources from the judicial sphere, the aircraft she was traveling in, along with Brazilian pilot Carlos Costas Díaz, 52 years old, became immobilized due to lack of fuel after covering more than 1500 kilometers from Bolivia. The joint operation between the Police of Entre Ríos and the National Gendarmerie allowed them to find the plane near a corn and soybean field, seizing ten packages of cocaine with a high distribution potential.

The discovery of the drug-laden plane has generated significant media interest due to the identity of Jade Callaú, a 21-year-old Bolivian and former Miss Bolivia. Currently, she and the pilot are in custody at the Ezeiza prison while the Office of Narcocrime continues the investigation.

According to Security Minister Néstor Roncaglia, the plane carried a forged Argentine license plate and was headed to Buenos Aires, where it is presumed that the drug shipment would be distributed. In total, 359 kilograms of cocaine were found inside the aircraft, valued at over 2.3 million dollars.
