The victim was identified as Fernando V.D.S., a 34-year-old man. The discovery took place on Sunday night when police were alerted to the presence of a body in an empty lot in the Tres Lagunas subdivision of the municipality of Porongo, according to the Argentine News Agency. Investigators detailed that the alert was made by neighbors due to strange movements, which later led to the discovery of the body. The Departmental Prosecutor of Santa Cruz, Alberto Zeballos Flores, reported that upon arriving at the scene, they immediately began collecting evidence, including the forensic medical report, which establishes the cause of death as firearm projectiles: nine in the head and one in the chest. Meanwhile, the prosecutor assigned to the case, Franz Delgadillo, explained that personnel from the Special Force to Fight Crime (FELCC) of Porongo approached the scene and found a corpse buried at a depth of approximately one meter, in addition to finding firearm casings at the scene. The victim was identified through personal documents. Now, the authorities are analyzing security camera footage and taking witness statements to find out what happened and who the killers are.
